    • viral comes from virus. it catches some poor guy and has the peaontitl to spread itself among the contacts/network of that poor guy, especially if he is not ‘immune’ or aware of it.If done well, viral marketing can increase brand awareness and therefore increases sales. Example: website that delivers funny jokes and pictures upon subscription and from time to time delivers some sales promotion. Learning curve: you bump on numerous virals, you start hating them, you report them as spam, you stop care and just ignore them, you deliberately let some of them to catch you, you start doing it yourself.
